Taliban begins relocating thousands of IDPs from Kabul |

[KhaamaPress] Officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan say that they have begun the relocation process of thousands of Internally Displaced People from Kabul to their respective provinces on Saturday, October 2. Over two thousand families were displaced mainly from the Northern provinces of Afghanistan after conflicts intensified between the Taliban ![]() and the security forces of the previous Afghan government. They were settled in the parks of Kabul along with their children for more than two months. Head of refugees and returnees of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Abdul Matin Rahimzay said that 1,005 displaces families from Shahr-e-Naw Park in Kabul have been relocated in collaboration with different aid agencies. Previously, the UNHCR had warned humanitarian crisis if not addressed the problems of IDPs as winter is approaching. On the other hand, the IEA also distributed humanitarian aid ![]() According to the statistics of UNHCR, around 300,000 people have been forced to displace due to heavy conflicts in 2020. |

#3 #2 and amongst those killed were my BIL’s father. National Cambodian Heritage Museum and Killing Fields Memorial Incredibly solemn place. You can still see the depressions in the earth from the mass graves . |

#2 N1 not very similar; the Genocide in Cambodia was many orders of magnitude greater than what we have seen so far in Afghanistan; in Cambodia in the 70s, about 20-25% of the population was exterminated, about 2 million it is doubtful whether another moslem nation would want to step into Afghanistan - the USA begged moslem nations like for help back in the early 2000s and got only several hundred, maybe a thousand out of it |

#1 Didn't the Khmer Rouge do the same thing in Cambodia in the 1970's. I give the Taliban at best 3 maybe 4 years, before another Islamic nation steps in. |
