Biden Says US Troops Should Be Dishonorably Discharged if They Don't Vax
2021-09-23
[MSN] The White House said Tuesday it 'strongly opposes' a provision of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that prohibits the Pentagon from punishing or dishonorably discharging any service member who refuses a vaccine.

'The Administration strongly opposes section 716, which would detract from readiness and limit a commander's options for enforcing good order and discipline when a Service member fails to obey a lawful order to receive a vaccination,' the White House Office of Management and Budget said in a statement on the yearly bill that funds the Pentagon.

'To enable a uniformed force to fight with discipline, commanders must have the ability to give orders and take appropriate disciplinary measures.'

#14  South Korean President Moon Jae-in visited Hawaii this week as the remains of 68 Korean service members were repatriated at a ceremony at Pearl Harbor.

Nobody from the Joe Kamela was in attendance, not even Lunch Vader.

Kinda says it all about how they feel about service members especially rank and file.

Watch, it will be easy to maintain Russian surplus doctrine for the rank and file, augmented with future tech under the direction of the palace eunichs.

#9  Those who resign or are discharged will be replaced by Haitians, Mexicans, Guatemalans, Afghans, etc. The new troops will have no qualms about obeying illegal, unconstitutional orders from their dementia patient in chief.

#6  How blind they all are. When the Iraq government replaced all the proven leaders of the army with political appointees, it all folded before ISIS just as the Afghan army before the Taliban. They're writing their own future right now. "It can't happen here." Really?

#5  BCD can only be done by special or general courts martial. Further, any attempt to direct the verdict (as has now been done by the 'Commander in Chief') is basis for overturning on appeal. I guess if the military has time to waste on CRT they have time and manpower to waste on this game, they can play this game but understand they lose in the end. The discharges will all be later upgraded to general.

#4  I suppose the military is prepping for large scale resignations.
If they are honorably discharged will they be allowed to reenlist at a future date?
Can they hire "contractors" who are dishonorably discharged?
If Biden can exempt the postal workers he can exempt the military.

While rendering ones-self unfit for duty is covered under UCMJ and even grounds for Articles of dishonorable discharge.

I am not sure how this will play out in the courts.
