  • Dr. Jumana Nagarwala appeared in court Thursday charged with lying about performing genital mutilation on nine girls, all seven years old

  • Prosecutors accused her of belonging to a group of physicians that traveled across the country performing the brutal surgeries

  • Nagarwala was cleared of mutilation charges in November 2018, after a federal judge ruled that a law banning the practice was unconstitutional

  • Prosecutors put forth a series of new charges in March,
    ..which explains why her name sounds familiar...
    alleging that she lied to the FBI and intimidated others to do the same

#7  They cut the clitoris (and surrounding skin) off in Africa and parts of the ME, leaving the urethra (supposedly, but some 'surgeons' aren't as skilled and more comes off creating all kinds of health issues). Supposedly removes any pleasure from the act, thereby keeping the girl/woman from promiscuity or 'straying'.

Don't know if that was specifically what these medical ghouls were doing, but wouldn't be surprised.
