Six Nigerians with Ties to Boko Haram on UAE Terror List |

The United Arab Emirates has named six Nigerians who are alleged to be financing turban group Boko Haram ![]() , as well as other criminal activities in Nigeria. The list includes Abdurrahaman Ado Musa, Salihu Yusuf Adamu, Bashir Ali Yusuf, Muhammed Ibrahim Isa, Ibrahim Ali Alhassan and Surajo Abubakar Muhammad. The decision came about a year after the six were indicted for sponsoring Boko Haram. The accused were said to have transferred up to U.S.$800,000 to the Death Eaters between 2015 and 2016. A court had found them guilty of setting up a Boko Haram cell in the UAE to raise funds and material assistance for them. A Nigerian government official who was allegedly said to be involved in the sponsorship of the Death Eaters that has killed over 100,000 civilians and security forces and inflicted untold economic damage on the country since its campaign began in 2009. The government official, it was gathered was yet to be publicly identified by the UAE authorities, amidst alleged diplomatic pressure not to publish the name. |
