#4  The big risk is not an eruption but a tsunami; such a tsunami would not be a direct result of the eruption, but would be generated by a mega-landslide, mostly underwater. There is a large region of submarine slope instability that could break loose, either from earthquakes associated with eruption, or additional loading from the ejected rock. The worst-case scenario is extremely bad; we really don't know how likely it is.
