[REGNUM] Five people were killed in the crash of a military Mi-24 helicopter in Côte d'Ivoire. This was reported on September 11 by Agence France-Presse. The helicopter crew carried out a reconnaissance flight in the north of the African country, near the border with Burkina Faso. It is clarified that the helicopter lost contact with the dispatch center at about 02:00 local time. Residents of the settlement, located not far from the place where the Mi-24 crew conducted reconnaissance, said that they heard a strong explosion, which was accompanied by a glow, as if from a fire. Rescuers who went to the site of the alleged helicopter crash found the crash site and confirmed the death of five crew members.
