If a company wanted to quietly purchase back its stock. Lowering the purchase price by taking a planned short term Bite in the Rump, would be one way to save a few $100 million. Then do a PR campaign announcing an "early release" of some already planned for, a not long for this world, Diamond Parachuted scapegoat.
