 pledged that the people behind the attack will face retribution. Thirteen US soldiers also bit the dust in the earth-shattering kabooms.

"Those who carried out this attack, as well as anyone who wishes America harm, know this: we will not forgive. We will not forget. We will hunt you down and make you pay," Biden said at a presser hours after the attack.
"I'm told Corn Pop and his gang may be behind it"
Biden also said the attack will not stop the evacuation of Americans and the Afghans who have worked for American organizations.

"We will not be deterred by terrorists. We will not let them stop our mission. We will continue the evacuation. I have also ordered my commanders to develop operational plans to strike ISIS-K leadership and facilities. We will respond with force and precision at our time, the place we choose and the moment we choose," he added.

The United States military struck back at the Islamic State on Saturday, bombing an ISIS-K member in Afghanistan.

In a statement to multiple news outlets, a spokesperson for U.S. Central Command said the operation targeted an ISIS-K planner.

"The unmanned airstrike occurred in the Nangahar Province of Afghanistan," Capt. Bill Urban said. "Initial indications are that we killed the target."
