| #2 apparently the Dept of Agriculture authorization act has a provision allowing adjustment of the SNAP benefits based on price changes and availability of products the 'availability' is subjective and allows political rather than administrative judgements fwiw, a family of 4 can receive as much as $600/mo of SNAP benefits currently SNAP benefits have become part of the illegal drug market as beneficiaries buy soft drinks with their SNAP, sell the soft drinks for cash or equivalent and use the cash to buy opioids or whatever |
