#1 The Vietnam War was a limited hot war (for the US) in the context of a global Cold War. The 9/11 War which now seems officially lost has been anything but a limited war for the US and the West. Twenty years of masochistic insanity have culminated in a humiliating debacle. No sane and rational adversary will take Western deterrence seriously anymore. |
