#4 There is quite a bit of oil in southern Libya and potentially huge 5 billion metric tons of iron ore in the central southwest area. Neither have, to date, been extensively developed for extraction. They'll have to wrestle the Chinese for both as there are existing China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC) holdings for both products. |

#3 Ottoman Empire included northern part of Libya but not the southern part. So, Erdogan, if he had the southern part could fancy himself as more wonderful than Sultan X of blessed memory |
