[KhaamaPress] The National Security Advisor of Pakistain Moeed Yusuf Sunday in the Pak embassy based in Washington DC said that Tahrik-e-Taliban

Pakistain (TTP) is based in Afghanistan and Afghanistan’s soil is being used to threaten Pakistain.

During the media brief, the NSA said that peace in Afghanistan is not a weakness but a strength of Pakistain.

NSA Moeed Yusuf has been visiting the United States since the 27th of July and has met with his US counterpart Jake Sullivan and other officials. Yusuf is purportedly there to discuss Afghanistan’s situation and bilateral issues.

Moeed Yusuf has suggested that now that the security vacuum is being created in Afghanistan after foreign troops’ full withdrawal, the US and Pakistain should work closely. He considered the US and Pakistain to be the only ideal duo in the region to jointly work in Afghanistan.

and safe routes for carrying military equipment to Afghanistan. The new collaboration in Afghanistan is yet to be clarified by the US and Pakistain.

Pakistain has always been accused of funding, supporting, and providing safe havens and medical facilities to the Taliban. Earlier Afghan NSA, Hamdullah Muhib has said that nearly 15 thousand students of religious schools (Madrasas) in Pakistain are prepared to cross the border into Afghanistan and fight along with the Taliban.
