#4  I believe the distinction here is when the feds use troops, the troops can't make an arrest. They can detain for federal marshals to pick up making the formal arrest. In this case, the governor is deputizing the troops to actually make an arrest.

#2  The Feds are going to terminate this effort via legal ruling or Federalization of forces. I'm surprised it hasn't happened already. We could have a George Wallace - University of Alabama moment coming soon.

I believe there is a name for a very unpleasant situation which pits state forces and law enforcement against Federal forces. This could be the tipping point.

The seemingly overnight transition of our military into a WOKE tool of the administration may have had a specific purpose.
