So, in summary, with regard to our current "casedemic", positive tests as they are counted today do not indicate a "case" of anything. They indicate that viral RNA was found in a nasal swab. It may be enough to make you sick, but according to the New York Times and their experts, probably won’t. And certainly not sufficient replication of the virus to make anyone else sick. But you will be sent home for ten days anyway, even if you never have a sniffle. And this is the number the media breathlessly reports... and is used to fearmonger mask mandates and lockdowns nationwide...

Exactly what we would expect to happen following mass vaccination. The question is how sick those admitted to the hospital are, and how many are in the sickest group versus the numbers at peak.

#11  Rural hospital near us is getting overloaded with covid cases again. And short-staffed - lots of their nurses have gotten burned-out and quit.

Yeah, that was the PCR test. The test amplifies a small amount of DNA. How many cycles you run determines the degree of amplification. Doing too many cycles makes the test overly sensitive and you start picking up viral wreckage instead of actual virus particles. Hence, the false positives.

#7  I never bought into the hysteria, so I never bought gallons of overprices sanitizer, hundreds of masks that were useless, or wore glove when I was shopping.

Now, I can buy dusk masks and nitrile work gloves for pennies on the dollar.

I feel a bit sorry for people who bought into (and bought) the hype because they believed the lies. Just a bit, though.

#6  I don't know if this is the test but the one they had in late Trump had some kind of 'spinning' involved and my wife (a nurse) was telling me she believed they were overspinning which creates false-positives. Then after Biden was elected they reduced the recommended amount of spinning and the number of cases mysteriously dropped across the board.

#5  Both the case numbers and fatalities were grossly exaggerated. Effective treatments were suppressed. Doctors who spoke out were silenced. But we can trust the vaccine, so nobody worry!

BTW: Just had 2 immediate family (17y and 52y) come down with C-19/21D.

Both are "currently" mild flu like cases at best.

One (52) had been Vax'd about 2 or 3 months ago along with his wife, who did NOT get infected?

The older one "was/is" a Route Fresh Food salesman.

Every time you shop take a minute to note the NEW 70% off lower prices for exactly the same hand sanitizers bottles and masks. eg. Wally World was $3.97 now $1 a bottle. 50 paper Masks was $49.95 now $18.95.

Heck at my area Wally Worlds they are now even giving away a free small bottle for a Pet Donation.

It has to make you wonder how screwed over we the customers were by the Big Box Stores?
