Inflation will only get worse if Dems' $6 trillion spending plan passes
2021-07-15
[NYPOST] Democrats are united in the belief that laws of economics no longer exist. That you can spend trillions upon trillions — anything you want, really — with no downside. The laws of economics respectfully disagree.

Inflation is up 5.4 percent year-over-year, the largest increase in 13 years. Partly, that’s the bounce-back from the pandemic, but it’s also because of the massive spending bills pushed through by both the Trump and Biden administration, the same old faces in slightly different places, the same old ideas, the same old graft
...knaves, footpads, and adjusters employed by the Biden Crime Family. They leave a trail of havoc everywhere they turn their attention, be it the nation's borders, the Keystone XL Pipeline, or epidemics, sometimes on purpose, most times through sheer arrogant ineptitude. They learnt this stuff in college, you know...
s.

Some stimulus was clearly necessary, but now that the economy is heating up again, the Democrats want to spend even more — $6 trillion.

If they succeed, expect inflation to shoot up even more. Progressives don’t care. They’ll claim credit for an increase in wages and government aid. But chances are that won’t make up for the rising cost of daily necessities like gas, meat and milk. Inflation is, above everything, a tax on the poor.

#7  People might try to find a haven in property, gold or crytocurrency. I don't trust property as it already seems over-inflated. I am leery of crytocurrency as well. But then I am old engineer and not a financial guy. I've taken a hit a couple of times.

#6  We are already near 1970s levels. Might as well go for 1930 Germany.

#5  Not sure really what to do except heavy rock the other way, like a $1trillion, and take the bumps and bruises, and know what needs attention in '22.

Thing is, I think g(r)om is right, and cloud castles are on auction.

#2  I think the smart bet is they will even manage to screw up wasting money. Lots of the COVID stimulus was never "spent" because the bureaucracies involved couldn't move quickly enough.
