The 'holy grail' of blood sugar testing for diabetics: Scientists develop a pain-free strip that checks glucose levels via saliva

#5  What about the new Apple Watch coming out this fall that's supposed to monitor glucose without a stick? Thats pricey, but I'd say worth it, especially since the thing also does pulse, EKG (with an alarm for atrial fibrillation) blood oxygen monitoring as well as sleep and exercise monitoring if you let it.

#4  My tester is synched to my phone so I do get to check what my levels were yesterday and as much as a month ago. My doctor can download from my tester so that is a plus.

#3  As a new type 1 I'm not sure what is best. The insulin syringes have got better since the early 90's though.

#2  Would you rather...

A) Prick your finger and get a reading in 5 seconds.

OR

B) Hold a device on your tongue (don't swallow now!) for a few minutes

I know they have a device which stays under your skin and give continuous readings over a week (or a month?). Ugh...
