The majority of these child soldiers were recruited by the ’Sultan Murad’ militia, who exploited their personal hardships to enlist them. About 10,750 mercenaries are thought to have returned to Syria after the end of their contracts. The number of jihadists believed to have arrived among them is 10,000 fighters, of whom 2,500 were Tunisian nationals. |

| #3 President Erdogan was using his Turkic paramilitaries as an occupation force for the Kurdish territory he’d taken over along the Syrian side of his border... perhaps he intends to do something similar around the Kabul airport he promised to guard. It sounds like they’ll be bringing their own comfort boys with them, too, if this rumour is correct. |

| #2 if the mercenaries aren't going to take part in operations against the Taliban then why would they be in Afghanistan other than to be targets |
