Ashli Babbit's Killer is a Dangerous Incompetent
2021-07-02
Gateway photo posted last evening by our own Woodrow. Here is the link and story.
[Gateway] A picture is worth a thousand words. So these two pictures tell you two thousand words worth of Ashley Babbit’s. He is demonstrably incompetent.

Shooter or not, are there more like him in there ?

Secret Service? Private security agent? Interrupted drug delivery? Dominion SW source code? Little wonder no one wishes to discuss the issue.

#36  I was in a band. What a blast.

We were so good, they let us play in mosques.

#35  /\ Nothing much good came from the follow-on National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) and NGA mergers, as you may well know. One old man's opinion anyway. All we ever wanted was some good 1:50000-scale maps. No money in paper maps however. And so it goes, or so it went.

Thank you for your hard work.

#34  Worked over half my AF career in SCIFs. Usually one small area to one or more full floors of a building. Biggest one I worked in was Bldg 213 at the Washington Navy Yard, aka NPIC - National Photographic Interpretation Center.

SCIF. Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (pronounced "skiff"), a U.S. Department of Defense term for a secure room. It can be a secure room or data center that guards against electronic surveillance and suppresses data leakage of sensitive security and military information.

#30  For years I maintained and managed the numbered War plan for a particular nation for which my unit was preplanned. Routinely read and directed traffic for senior planners and logisticians [pertinent to the area. I was read in at the highest levels of classification for that country, but had trouble over time being able to differentiate between the classified traffic and the content of the Washington Post, NYT. etc.... so the only solution was to never utter a word about that area outside a SCIF.

#29  Got it. Probably a good thing nobody ever hired me to be a spy or even discreet. (Mr. Wife just doesn’t tell me things that are supposed to be confidential, so I don’t have to remember who not to say anything to.) Anybody tracking me is going to be bored to tears — though perhaps they’ll learn more about the news from Afghanistan, Somalia, and Israel than they did before.

Capitol Cop Who Murdered Ashli Babbitt Identified as Michael Leroy Byrd". Some progressives defend Byrd's actions, saying that his execution of Ashli was a split second decision. Actually, he took careful aim of her neck, from 4 feet away

Agree, But providing the accountants with translations for the receipts generally ticked me off...Russian, German, Arabic, Somali, Italian, French, Japanese...(list goes on) Please Boys its a receipt for a taxi - laundry, hookers (incindental entertainment) ;-), food, shop supplies...

#17  /\ Yes, contracting is definitely the preferred method. Contractors generally don't have legions of needle-dick USG bean counters to contend with. They trust you to get the task accomplished and pay you promptly for your efforts.

Yes, but the travel accounting was the pits, especially in the paper form days -80's & 90s, couldn't be off by a penny.

#12  USSS - United States Secret Service
Attire:
Special agents and special officers of the Secret Service wear attire that is appropriate for their surroundings, in order to blend in as much as possible. In most circumstances, the attire of a close protection shift is a conservative suit, but it can range from a tuxedo to casual clothing as required by the environment. Stereotypically, Secret Service agents are often portrayed wearing reflective sunglasses and a communication earpiece. Often their attire is customized to conceal the wide array of equipment worn in service. Agents wear a distinctive lapel pin that identifies them to other agents.

Lapel Pin
Blackinton & Co., which primarily makes badges for police departments, “is the sole proprietor that has the expertise in manufacturing lapel emblems that have new security enhancement technology feature [redacted],” the latest Secret Service purchasing document says.

David Long, Blackinton’s COO, says it is “the only badge manufacturer in the world” that offers a patented authentication technology it calls the “SmartShield.” Each one contains a tiny RFID transponder chip that links to an agency database listing all the necessary information needed to verify that the person with the badge is the one authorized to be carrying it and that the badge itself is authentic.

#11  The Vice President’s Residence & Office Links to The White House Web Site

Other Information:
She has several of them. she has a home office at his official residence, the Naval Observatory, located at One Observatory Circle.

She has an office in the Senate Wing of the Capitol Building which she uses in his Constitutional capacity as President of the Senate.

The Office of the Vice President, run by a Chief of Staff, is an official US Government department and is headquartered in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building (before that the Old Executive Office Building and before that the State, War and Navy Building), just across West Executive Drive (sort of a private driveway on the WH campus) from the West Wing of the White House.

In addition, at the direction of the president, she has an office in the West Wing as well. Not all presidents have wanted their veeps so close and some have been exiled into the EOB, but Pence had space in the West Wing.

Many long term Beltway hands have “hideaway” offices in various government buildings; places they can go for secret meetings and just some quiet time. These are generally the office they occupied as a younger and less powerful version of themselves they just decided to keep when they moved on and pulled the required strings. I doubt Pence has one; before he was Governor he did 6 terms in the House, but 12 years isn’t all that long a tenure in the Beltway. But other veeps have had them; LBJ for example

#4   ^#2 "go-box" include the "go-bag" which is an 'essentials' bag of items needed for evacuations or quick departures. Go-box is a name used for a number of electronic devices.

The "Go-Box" is often a box, crate, carry-case, modified briefcase or similar construction containing electronic equipment pre-setup and ready to function. The box can then be taken into the field or placed at a remote site with minimal effort.
