The incident with a British destroyer in the Black Sea could speed up the adoption of new rules.
According to some reports, the set of weapons that should be used by combat aircraft against intruder ships may be revised. In particular, dropping bombs along the offender's course can be replaced by the use of unguided air-to-surface missiles.
The Russian military believes that provocations with an invasion of the territorial waters of the Russian Federation will become more frequent, but unguided rockets are enough to demonstrate serious intentions.
This takes into account the fact that in the event of a provocation, the task of destroying a foreign ship is not posed, and the impact of fire should only suppress its actions.
