#11 It works in Singapore. It doesn't work anymore in the US. The reason is simple: normal people can't live with the Wakandan-Woke berserk element. |

#8 From yesterday: So don't say "Urbanism doesn't work". Say "American cities become liberal hellholes". Urbanism works, until it doesn't. Every city is the product of manufacturing or/and service. The Legacy Cities are a product of both. *Service is trade route hub or/and government The rest of the population is there to support those enterprises. Centers of Learning, traditionally, need a gathering of information, a library, and a conductive environment, food shelter and curiosity. Information hubs were best found in major trade hubs. That is, population density is irrelevant to the quality of a Center of Learning, other than perhaps enough people to care for the daily chores of said learners. Traditionally. My kids laugh at me when I tell them that to do my school work, I had to go the the library and know the Dewey Decimal System. I laugh at them, because the have the entire knowledge of human history in their pocket and they are using it for cat memes, and can't even figure out the proper way to say meme. So no. Cities are not pre-requisites for science, technology, or arts; they just tend to share the same location. It ticks me when City People think they are the end-all fountain head, when in reality they are the end product. I'm not hating on cities, or city people, or even city culture. I'm just noting that connections are important. And the problem with Urban Theory is not just an American problem. |

#7 I suppose this problem will reach where I live. If it's soon, I move. If it's later, why should I care? |

#6 /\ Exactly correct. Unfortunately, it's a much larger problem than the Buckhead community. |

#5 those divorce paper better come with some way of teleporting away from the Wakandan-infested environs. Once the new Buckhead police force starts blasting away at the Wakandan criminals, the racial justice locusts will descend upon the newly minted city. |

#4 Coming soon: SCROTUS decides US taxpayers don't have standing to decide where their tax dollars are spent. You heard it here first at Rantburg. |

#2 'We filed our divorce papers at the city of Atlanta and our divorce is final,' he said You are in demographic denial. Nothing will change, you're still living in the same house. You've just made yourselves a larger target. Call PODS now before you miss the Jonesboro economic tipping point and your home value plummets 65 percent, or you discover you cannot sell it at all. |
