  • Marines spokesman Bobby Yarbrough, told Task & Purpose that Beals would be awarded the title of Marine posthumously

  • He is the seventh enlistee to die there since the year 2000; in 2016 one female recruit threw herself to her death after being subjected to verbal abuse

  • The Marines have opened an investigation into Beals' death

  • The teen's mom has described him as 'the most sincere, kindhearted, sweet and amazing young man'

#3  Could be sudden death syndrome. Like those athletes who just up and die in the middle of a game. Something undetectable until it suddenly popped up under these extream conditions and killed him.

#1  I don't guess the woman who threw herself to death shouldn't have been trying to be a marine at all if she couldn't handle verbal abuse.
