[Ynet] The 1,000 new soldiers from Israel's largest minority is more than double that of recent years, with Arab troops serving in combat roles in prominent brigades; army says it has also had inquiries from Syria and LebMore than 1,000 Israeli Arabs have volunteered to serve in the IDF as conscripts or reservists in the past year, and most after the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague) ...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men... crisis began in March, the military's Manpower Directorate said Sunday. |

| #3 Effectively, ultra-orthodox who serve are volunteers. A lot get disowned by their families - it it a way to get out from the sect. |
