| Government soldiers wounded in Syria's Deir ez-Zor |

| [NPASYRIA] On Thursday, four members of the government forces were injured by mine explosions in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor, which is under government control. A military source told North Press that several soldiers were seriously injured during an operation to remove landmines and dismantle explosive devices in the desert near al-Tabni, west of Deir ez-Zor, with the aim of establishing points and checkpoints for themselves in the region. The wounded were then transferred to the government military hospital in in the town of al-Tabni. Since the beginning of this year, ISIS cells have been active in the area from which the remnants of war are being removed. These cells have planted explosive devices and a number of landmines that have killed shepherds and members of the government forces. |
