| #7 I worked with a man who underwent gender reassignment surgery. He was not pleasant to be around either before or after surgery. He really hated straight men after his surgery because no one would date her/him. He couldn't or wouldn't understand why. |

| #4 This is why Johns-Hopkins stopped doing gender reassignment surgery many years ago. The surgery did not change the actual gender, only the appearance of the person. A majority regretted having the surgery and many killed themselves. I do feel compassion for people who are so unhappy with their biology they are willing to mutilate themselves but ultimately find they are no better off. This is a mental disorder. |

Various clinical research study data shows suicide rates ranging from 1/4 to and 1/3 plus depending on the starting sex and ending sexual orientation. HRC Staff • September 12, 2018 "More than half of transgender male teens who participated in the survey reported attempting suicide in their lifetime, while 29.9 percent of transgender female teens said they attempted suicide. Among non-binary youth, 41.8 percent of respondents stated that they had attempted suicide at some point in their lives." To me a when I see a constant High Suicide Rates stemming from the actions of persons in any clearly defined group. I tend to lean towards associating a shared MENTAL ILLNESS as the primary cause. |
