| #17 Hollywood isn't interested in telling stories, because good stories require risk. Risk is what makes a story compelling. Hollywood is going to perceived market share; trying to appeal to everyone makes a generic story. Its why there is so much re-treading, or as it is called in Jean Claude Van Johnson, re-imagining, such as the last 3 Star Wars movies being re-imaginings of the original trilogy. Compounding Hollywood's appeal is actors/actresses/(actrex? wtfc) chosen by Woke Boxes before talent, appeal, or even typecast. There are still good storytellers out there. I laughed my ass off all the way through Psycho Goreman. I asked the guy next to me to pinch me in case I was dreaming. |
