#4  How it works in Iran is... the connected to the Party get to profit from it, but noone else does. Cryptocurrency is off limits for ordinary people in Iran; its use is limited to the government and the nomenclatura. But allegations of cryptocurrency mining is used as a scapegoat for the preexisting failures.

Like the wreckers and kulaks way back when.
