#29  In other pipeline news, Gretchen "Lizard Queen" Whitmer, Governor of Michigan, is shutting down the Enbridge Line 5 pipeline that runs thru Michigan. The Canadians are miffed and residents of the Upper Peninsula are wondering where their propane will come from. Line 5 carries ~500,000 barrels of fuel per day.

#26  Glad I'm not the only skeptic.

The "They are a private company so we don't want to get involved" line is the most un-Big Government line they could throw. It makes me think:

-They are involved in some way, or
-They have been utterly defeated by a hack

Lady Gaga's dog has been stolen!
US Government - We're totally on it.

A hack closed gasoline to 1/4 of the United States!
Whoah, totally a private matter.

#23  Shutting down the construction of the XL pipeline has got to be one of the worst strategic policy decisions ever made.

#22  Darkside is a criminal entity.

However, I don't understand why Colonial Pipeline didn't have multiple buffers between their critical information and the internet.

As I understand it, others who operate critical facilities, e.g., nuclear power plants, keep the operating system of the plants walled off (actually two and three walls off) from the employees email.

#18  I agree with Newt. The question is just exactly 'who' hates America quite that much. Or more colloquially, is the cal coming from inside the house?

#17  Tough when your own state doesn't have one of them NIMBY cracking plants.

You know trucking the stuff in has a limit in range when moving it takes more than what you can carry.

#16  One might wonder if this was allowed to happen in order to setup the battlefield for 'BidenCare' of our Oil Industry (meaning the nationalization of our Oil Industry - you know to insure it's safe from Harm!).
They did it with Healthcare. Setup a crisis, then use it to take over the industry.
Never let a crisis go to waste!

North Augusta Murphy at Wally World went dry for Regular about 1 1/2 hr. ago.

Price was at $2.89 up 40cents from last Thursday.
Augusta Ga. is Selling at $2.99+ for 87 octane.

Like the TP Panic with every idiot buying more than needed and filling a number of just purchased Red plastic Gas containers.

Wait for it
NEWS at 6 "Crash with 50 Gal in the car".

NOW FOR A QUESTION.
Any one hear the comments made by the Sec. Energy and Deputy Cyber security advisor yesterday on Bloomberg's "Balance of Power"
May 10th, at the 25 mark to 50 mins area.

Did it sound like they were hinting at greater Government oversight / control / Monitoring SPYING of the INet for the US-Gov and the Private sector?

#10  Doing. nothing meaningful about a series of gas shortages serves their climate change agenda perfectly. The Bidet/Kalorama Central Committee people see themselves as revolutionary rulers not public servants. Anything that drives people to abandon private vehicles for the workers paradise of the hive cities is a glorious revolutionary victory for the proletariat. In a sane world, this would just be humorous sarcasm

But I bet Putin knows better than to let critical infrastructure operators connect their computers to the internet.

#7  #1, Gingrich has a point. You'd think that if the FBI really knows who dunnit then a big, powerful, world class operation like the CIA could arrange some wet work in the, uh, "Eastern European" country where the attack supposedly originated.
