Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid on Nurmsi airfield Drop Zone when US troops jumped in |
2021-05-09 |
Most of the paratroopers were transferred to Estonia directly from the Fort Bragg division base in North Carolina, USA - the flight took about ten hours. The landing over the Nurmsi airfield was carried out from a height of 300 meters using military transport aircraft C-17, as well as C-130, which delivered paratroopers from Lithuania. |

#4 ^^^! Right there w/you. I only had a couple dozen jumps and most were water/nigh jumps (pissed my pants and closed my eyes..). I'd strap on a MC-1C and go out the door today if I could though. |

#3 Even at my age, if I were offered a chance to jump one more time (Hollywood or Combat Equipment), I'd get vaccinated immediately. |

#2 Whew, the troops got vaccinated first. I was worried there for a minute. /sarc Level 4: Do Not Travel |

#1 Looked to be a full mission profile with the heavy drop (jeeps/arty) then the mass tactical jump w/combat equipment. Great job 82nd. |
