#7 Think ST8301 has it; and like a bad firework I kept waiting for the missile to skip across the water and into a ship, but the captains didn't seem too concerned. |

#6 Could the aircraft video taping the launch, maybe have jammed the GPS guidance system? Maybe the aircraft was targeting the Frigate, to keep an eye on it, and the missile picked up on it. Not a military person myself... |

#2 Shitty Russian quality control. My guess is the booster rocket thrust vectoring controls got stuck after actuating to tip the missile over. The Russians also like to cold launch missiles (not in this case). One of the hazards of cold launch missiles is it falling back on you if it fails to ignite. |
