The ban on cycle of violence
movement in the town of Shuhail, 40 kilometers east of Deir ez-Zor, starts on Monday, April 26, until further notice, a local military source told North Press.The decision was issued as a result of the increasing use of motorbikes by armed individuals to carry out liquidations in the town.
Most murders were carried out via motorbikes against civilians, employees, and military individuals in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, and have increased during the last months.
On Sunday, a civilian lost his life after being shot by unknown armed attackers who were riding a motorbike, in Shuhail.
The SDF informed people with the decision via loudspeakers in the town’s mosques and warned of violations that target safety of the residents, according to the source.
Two months ago, SDF security checkpoints confiscated motorbikes in Shuhail following successive liquidations by unknown armed individuals riding motorbikes.
