Efficacy: In J&J’s global clinical trial, it demonstrated 66% efficacy at preventing symptomatic COVID-19 infections. In the U.S. it was slightly higher, 72%. Appears to be 100% effective at preventing hospitalizations and death.

Variants: Based on clinical studies in Africa, UK and Latin America, there is evidence the vaccine is effective against the variants, although less so against the South African and Latin American strains.

#3  Just lost a friend to the Pfizer jab. Every drug has side effects, but I suspect these are being under reported. The blood clotting issue is getting air play, but it's kind of a nothingburger. Kind of similar to odds of having a negative reaction to aspirin.

#1  So are side effects actually being exaggerated? If so, one could easily suspect it is because they are less expensive (since price received is probably calculated on a 'cost + percentage' basis.)
