You knew it was coming: Tim Cook wants Americans to be able to vote on their iPhones
2021-04-07
[Insider] Would you feel comfortable voting via iPhone?
"OK, but not android"
Apple CEO Tim Cook suggested that concept in a new interview with The New York Times, published just days after Cook joined a growing coalition of business leaders who criticized a restrictive new Georgia voting law.

"I would dream of that, because I think that's where we live," Cook said when Swisher asked if the tech would be the answer to some modern voting issues, like fraud. "We do our banking on phones. We have our health data on phones. We have more information on a phone about us than is in our houses. And so why not?"

America's voting systems are notoriously low-tech, which stands in glaring contrast to modern systems of banking, commerce, and healthcare.

#3  Nope.
Until Tim Cook ensures every underprivledged 18 year old had an iphone this is a civil rights problem. Start giving out free phones Tim, then we'll talk.

Give this some thought.
Ever been in a Regional wide Emergency and the Cell Line were too overloaded to handle the Volume? Imagine 170++ such calls over a 3 to 7 day period. Imagine the verification and track-ability issues.

As far back as 1997 I have seen illegal Cell Phone Cloning operations. Rapid IMEI cloning/changing is pretty simple and can be done for small investment of a few $Thousand.
