2021-04-04 |
He promised a rally, but the photos at the link don’t make it look like many joined him. [KhaamaPress] ![]() ... who used to be known in intelligence circles as The Most Evil Man in the Worldbut who now seems merely run-of-the-mill evil... , Hizb-e-Islami leader among his supporters on Friday demanded President Ashraf Ghani ![]() to resign for his failure to fix the security and disruption at the grinding of the peace processor. Hekmatyar claimed that authorities at the Presidential Palace are trying to disrupt grinding of the peace processor. The jihadist leader who is well known for bombing Kabul has called on Ghani to stop his "evil acts" and transfer the power to a new government. According to Hekmatyar, his party’s protests are aimed at transferring the message for a change in the current political system, before the UN-led turkey summit, such demonstration will pressurize the government and that message will be conveyed to national and international parties that the nation requires an immediate change of the incumbent government. During the protest the jihadist group leader Hikmatyar shared his remarks from well armored and protected booth. So far, the Afghan government has not reacted to Hizb-e-Islami’s demands. This comes as security situation across Afghanistan deteriorates, just recently five non-combatants were killed in a roadside kaboom blast in the city of Lashkargah on Friday. Another explosion on the same day targeted a passenger vehicle in Kushk-e-Kohna district of Herat ...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... province. Local official said at least seven women were maimed in the earth-shattering kaboom. No group has yet grabbed credit for both of the incidents.
