Roadside Bomb Blast in Helmand Kills Five Civilians |

[ToloNews] Five non-combatants were killed in a roadside kaboom blast in the city of Lashkargah in Helmand ...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan... province on Friday morning, the provincial governor's front man Omar Zwak said. Zwak said the incident happened in the Chahar Gul area along the Helmand-Kandahar highway at around 11 am on Friday. The incident comes as another roadside kaboom blast targeted a civilians vehicle in Kushk-e Kohna district in Herat ...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... province on Friday morning. Herat governor’s front man Jailani Farhad said that seven women were maimed in the earth-shattering kaboom. No group grabbed credit for the two incidents. In another incident, a member of the police special unit was killed in an attack by the Taliban ![]() in the city of Pul-e-Khumri, the center of Baghlan province, on Thursday night. Taliban grabbed credit for the attack. |
