Georgia governor hits back after Delta CEO criticizes state election law as 'unacceptable' |
2021-04-01 |
[Just the News] Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp fired back at Delta CEO Ed Bastian's comments blasting election legislation that was recently passed by the state’s GOP-controlled legislature. The airline company had come under criticism and faced calls for a boycott after the CEO issued a statement last week about the legislation. "The legislation signed this week improved considerably during the legislative process, and expands weekend voting, codifies Sunday voting and protects a voter’s ability to cast an absentee ballot without providing a reason. For the first time, drop boxes have also been authorized for all counties statewide and poll workers will be allowed to work across county lines," the CEO said in part of his statement last week. |

#7 Delta (along with many others) is standing in the gummit subsidy line. There are penalties. Party line narratives must be maintained. While not impossible, picking up your headquarters and moving out of Wacandaville would be very expensive. |

#6 Never understood how Corporate America increasingly wants to use "Social causes" to increase sales, or to get run to the camera FREE exposure. When generally speaking the demographics of the "social causes" seldom can afford the items being sold in enough volume, to offset the actual customers that they Tick off and sales they lose. |

#2 Screw Delta. But I am confused by that quip. It sounds like the CEO supports the law. I must be missing something, |
