[SYRIAHR] The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored growing popular discontent in the SDF-held areas in al-Raqqa, following the release of a former ISIS member by SDF, mediated by clans, despite being sentenced to 25 years, which ignited popular resentment as many people in SDF prisons accused of "belonging to and dealing with ISIS" without investigation or clear charges, and they were not released. Two days ago, reliable sources informed the Syrian Observatory that the forces of the Deir ez-Zor Military Council, arrested three people in al-Hermoshia area in western countryside of Deir ez-Zor during the past hours. The arrest came on charges of "dealing with and belonging to the Islamic State ![]() Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... ", as they were all on a cycle of violence when they were arrested. On March 10, SOHR sources said that groups of Internal Security Forces affiliated with SDF stormed the southern neighbourhoods of the city of al-Hasakeh, arresting 30 people for "belonging to Islamic State cells", and confiscating individual weapons and military equipment they have in their possession. The security operation comes in light of ISIS cells’ attacks on civilians and members of the military forces in areas of al-Hasakah countryside. On March 2, SOHR sources said that a cycle of violence parked on the road of al-Siyasi of al-Ya’rabiyyah town in al-Hasakah countryside went kaboom!, as a military vehicle of the "Self-Defence Forces" was passing. The explosion caused material damage only. |
