| [Alahram] Nearly 200 people have been killed and 40,000 displaced since January following an "alarming increase" in attacks by the ADF gang in northeastern DR Congo, the United Nations ...boodling on the grand scale... said Friday. "Since January, attacks blamed on the gang Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) ...the ADF is one of several murderous Moslem groups in NE Congo. In 2019 the U.S. Treasury Department imposed sanctions on them for the usual reasons. They don't appear to be affiliated with al-Qaeda or Islamic State, though ISIS claims their work from time to time — they just like killing infidels... have killed nearly 200 people, injured dozens of others, and displaced an estimated 40,000 people in DRC's Beni Territory in North Kivu province as well as nearby villages in Ituri province," UN Refugee Agency front man Babar Baloch told news hounds in Geneva. |
