-Short Attention Span Theater- |
Hey, pay attention and watch where you are going (video not suitable for office or family) |
2021-03-07 |
The video shows the yellow construction vehicle striking 61-year-old Estelle Davis with its shovel before running her over and dragging her along the corner of New Lots and Van Sinderen Avenues in East New York. Neither the driver nor a worker nearby appears to notice as Davis falls and then disappears under the vehicle. The backhoe then lurches forward, leaving the woman motionless on the street, video shows. |

#14 Dinking on her phone. Loud as those back-up noises are, yeah, likely earbuds. If she wasn't gone before she hit the ground, the second head impact trauma likely, mercifully, finished the event. |

#9 Sorry, Clem, but if you are operating equipment, YOU are responsible for the safe operation, especially backing up in a public street. Her stupidity will get her family some $$, mitigated by her unsafe travel |

#8 Odd for the NYP (perhaps) to not mention that. I wonder if she had ear plugs in, too. They better not even think of doing something against those construction workers or the company. |

#7 she was staring at her phone, not looking at where she was walking, I'd have to put that one down as a "Darwin"winner |

#4 Look at her hands. Maybe it is just me, but it sure looks like she was talking and tapping away on her phone. Article makes no mention of that possibility. Unfortunate, but, hmmmm. |
