Supreme Court Dismisses ‘Sanctuary City’ Cases at Request of Biden’s DOJ
2021-03-06
[EpochTimes] The Supreme Court has dismissed three pending requests to hear challenges to the Trump administration’s order to withhold millions of dollars in law enforcement funds from so-called sanctuary jurisdictions—states and cities that refuse to cooperate with Department of Homeland Security efforts to deport people residing in the United States illegally.

"After a request from the Biden administration yesterday, the Supreme Court just dismissed three pending cert petitions (requests to hear a case) about the Trump administration’s effort to withhold money from so-called sanctuary cities," the SCOTUSblog Twitter account noted.

#8  It is the new Biden policy that you are all objecting to, not the Supreme Court ruling. These were cases trying to overthrow Trump's policy. Biden threw out that policy and that may be evil. The Supreme Court action dismissing the cases means the Supremes will not spend time deciding whether an order not in effect was constitutional, which in my opinion it was.
When Republicans regain the presidency Trump's policy will probably be reinstated.

#7  We need a new constitution. One that has no words longer than three syllables and no longer than 20 articles (fingers and toes} then perhaps SCOTUS could understand it.

#5  ^Of course there is going to be a next time - it's just will not be the GOP you're hoping for.

#4   Next time GOP is in office, it needs to clean out the DOJ and relaunch this immediately.

Why just the DOJ? The entire FedGov needs a thorough cleansing and massive downsizing. But, I fear there isn’t going to be a “next time”.

#2  So our black robed tyrants have decided that the American taxpayer can fund cities that ignore the constitution and selectively enforce the laws of the land.

Their collective wickedness and evil is now proven.
