#15  Perhaps I missed it. Was the word "father" anywhere in this story?

#14  Link to report on the school. https://foxbaltimore.com/news/local/fast-facts-augusta-fells-savage-institute-of-visual-arts-in-baltimore

He was expecting to graduate and now is being sent back to 9th grade after this story apparently. Average teacher salary for 9 month school year, $60k, senior administrator salary $99k, entire school demographic less than 5% white/asian...
average teacher 12 years on the job. As clear a picture of what democrat, union run minority schools deliver as I have ever seen.

#12  If he missed 200+ days I question passing 3 classes. Maybe he is a genius or the classes were social justice 100, 101 and 102.

#8  Mike Slater's local radio talk show covered this yesterday. The son also missed 200+ days of school, only "passed" 3 classes. I'd say between the kid, the Mom, the School, the Teachers...NOBODY did the right things here.

#7  Lets reprogram public elementary school instruction. No grades just instruction which either takes or not. But! Establish a separate (but equal) elementary school into which children are invited and in which they are graded. How do i decide whom to invite?

#6  #2 The key fact is "It’s a school where a student who passed three classes in four years, ranks near the top half of his class with a 0.13 grade point average." Meaning, some did worse.

p.s. I do agree, his mom isn't an innocent here.

#3  He doesn't show up for school half the time, it's the school's fault? If he doesn't get sent to the next grade the school gets sued.

#2  As you’ll see, the clip below contains an interview with mother Tiffany France and, as she sees it, the school has completely failed her son. “He didn’t fail, the school failed him. The school failed at their job. They failed. They failed, that’s the problem here. They failed. They failed. He didn’t deserve that,” she said.

Remember everyone and everything else is the blame for the failure in one community. n.b. not a tiger mom.
