Rush Limbaugh Dies at 70
2021-02-17
From whitecollar redneck:
Rush Limbaugh has died. Godspeed

Day is done, gone the sun,
From the lake, from the hills, from the sky;
All is well, safely rest, God is nigh.

Fading light, dims the sight,
And a star gems the sky, gleaming bright.
From afar, drawing nigh, falls the night.

Thanks and praise, for our days,
'Neath the sun, 'neath the stars, neath the sky;
As we go, this we know, God is nigh.

Sun has set, shadows come,
Time has fled, Scouts must go to their beds
Always true to the promise that they made.

While the light fades from sight,
And the stars gleaming rays softly send,
To thy hands we our souls, Lord, commend.
Ebbomoger Speaking for Boskone4589 submitted Breitbart’s report. Mullah Richard submitted the Fox News report, commenting, “He was responsible for showing millions of folks what was really going on. RIP”

#19  Though you say you are deep in his debt,
Rush had almost no fans, I would bet,
For all of the dittos
And Limbaugh Show widows --
Just millions of friends never met.

Occasionally visited a sprawling nursery out in Jeff Parish with lots of big tropical material. Bit dilapidated and overgrown. Wandering the abandoned grounds in the summer heat, with Rush playing over a half-assed PA was pretty surreal. Change the language and you could've been on a SE Asian collective farm. Loved that place. And Rush, of course.

#17  Sorry Mr. L passed away, may his family find peace in the knowledge that he was an exceptional person, one who gave a voice to those of us without a public venue, a voice that also spoke for the asperations of mankind.
Our world sees few of these souls, and when we do, their acknowledgment comes but a few short years before they depart. My God bless you and keep you.
We only wish we could.
Thanks "Rush".

#16  What is truly sad is what will happen in the coming days now that he has died.

The MSM knows they must discredit and vilify Rush. So very Liberal Freak, Talking head & MSM Face sneaking 15 mins of greater fame will be hitting the airwaves and the MSM will be all to happy to broadcast their lies and gossip.

So expect no better of them than they have been.

#15  A voice of sanity and candor with humor and insight into the genuine American character. We were lucky to have him and he will be missed. RIP Rush, may the road be kind to you...

#14  Getting fired for his football commentary was a real eye opener for me; perhaps even a defining moment.

#13  RIP Rush. Been a listener for a long time. You brought out the truth; often in a humorous way.

#12  RIP, Rush. One of a kind and a much-needed voice if there ever was one. And his occasional sub, Walter Williams, passed away some weeks prior. A sad, sad day.

#10  He will be dearly missed.
I first heard him on the local Fayetteville AM station while working at SOTF at Ft. Bragg in August of 1988 and have been catching at least a few hours every week since.

While I sure the Liberals will be dancing in the streets. Rush will be a perpetual thorn in their butts. Because he has educated 100's of millions about their subversive Anti-American agenda and trained as many to understand Media News-Speak.

He alone has likely set back Socialism in the USA by 50 years.

#9  Truly Excellence in Broadcasting. I remember when I first heard him decades ago while toiling away at the big AT&T behemoth...as TW said, I then knew I was truly not alone in my views...what a wonderful gift.

#7  The "Great Maha Rushdy" from behind the "Golden Excellence In Broadcasting Microphone". That was his colorful title for what he really was, an excellent political analyst dissecting what the left was doing, broke it down and explained it to us or in other words removed the wool from before our eyes so we could see clearly. Did with great humor and in a masterful prophetic way told us what was going to happen.

He was somewhat the successor in my opinion to the late Paul Harvey.

#5  You guys are good. Four submissions on this as soon as the report came out. I set it as today’s headline as my very small contribution to mourn the man who first let us know we were not alone.
