#5 Israel Annexed the Golan Heights in 1981. President Trump merely recognized that fact. The odds of all the conditions Secretary of State Blinken laid out coming to pass any time soon is pretty low. My bet is that the current Assad will die of old age in bed, still a satrap of Iran, and grateful for the protection. But it no doubt made the rabidly Jew-hating wing of the Democratic Party happy, so PM Bibi will be saying No a good deal over the next four years. |
