H.R. 127: A New Bill In Congress Would Literally End Your 2nd Amendment Rights Permanently
2021-02-03
[End Of The American Dream] If a new bill that has been introduced in Congress eventually becomes law, the 2nd Amendment will still be in the U.S. Constitution, but for all practical purposes the rights that it is supposed to guarantee will be dead and gone. H.R. 127 was submitted on January 4th, and if you have not read it yet you can find the full text right here. It contains a lot of technical language, and so in this article I am going to try to break down what it means very simply. Now that the Democrats control the White House, the Senate and the House of Representatives, there is going to be a major push to ram through some form of gun control legislation. If it is not this bill, it will be another one, so we need to be diligent.

One of the biggest things that H.R. 127 would do is that it would create a national firearms registration system that would literally be accessible by anyone...
HR 127 establishes a federal firearms registration system that will be accessible by federal, state, and local governments, including the military — even the GENERAL PUBLIC! The system will track the make, model, and serial number of all firearms, their owners, the dates they were acquired, and where they are being stored.

So if your neighbor, a co-worker, or someone that just wanted to rob your home wanted to know how you were armed, all they would have to do would be to look it up in the firearms registration system.

This bill would also apply retroactively.

Within three months, you would have to report to the government where you bought all of your guns, when they were purchased, and where they are currently being stored.

Needless to say, if the government knows where all of your guns are being stored, it would make it that much easier to grab them from you at some future date.

H.R. 127 would also require all gun owners to be federally licensed.

That would mean that owning a gun would no longer be a right. Instead, it would be reduced to a "privilege" that the government could take away at any time.

#16  This is indeed different.
Sh!t's getting real, as they say

#15  Prohibition was a different kettle of fish and was pretty much ignored by a lot of people.

This is different. It is the same playbook the Nazis used to purge German society of Jews. The demoncrats are pushing for commissions where they will identify republicans that supported Trump and will push them out of banking, jobs and "civilized society". The gun grab is the prep work for it.

Fortunately this isn't Germany and most on the right won't put up with this bullshit without a fight.

And a fight is coming.

#14  It’s possible, DarthVader, yes. But how long did Prohibition last? That also had the support of all right-thinking people and enforcement by police and the Bureau of Prohibition.

I prefer to believe Americans are creative enough that long before then Irish Democracy will have had noticeable impacts on the country. And many of the Democrats’ own voters will have walked away in disgust at what those they elected did to them, too. They’re already seeing unintended consequences of using Antifa last year in an attempt to trap President Trump: in addition to huge increases in crime — and loss of income to collect taxes on — in the bluest communities, there is significant migration from the bluest states to the red ones, where voting laws changes will not be accepted, and from the cities to the suburbs, where neither vote fraud nor Black Bloc rambunctiousness is generally considered acceptable.

Finally, anyone who pays attention to modern history knows the one thing the targets did not do during the Nazi and Stalinist eras.

#13  They won’t leave. But they may jointly no longer cooperate on a great many things. Once you accept that there will be no federal highway funds, for instance, you can set your own speed limits.

At first, yes. There will be sanctuary states/counties that refuse to enforce this and other green laws that the feds push down. The US will become California in its insane laws and eventually, the feds will send in their law enforcement to make sure the laws are followed.

Several state sheriffs, especially in Texas will start arresting feds to keep them from locking up their citizens and destroying their economies. Texas, being a huge energy state that loves their guns will be the first to close their borders and leave. The rest of the red states will follow including several counties in blue states.

There is a pretty big secession movement in northern California and decent sized ones in eastern Washington and Oregon to join Idaho. All this would happen when the red states go.

The above combined with crushing taxes, ministry of reality, suppression of speech, destruction of the medical field through Medicaid for all, and loss of a lot of jobs will make it untenable for states to stay.

#12   push that will get the red states to finally say "ENOUGH" and start leaving.

It will be interesting to see how “Minority Leader” Mitch McConnell responds even to the attempt to work on this thing in the Senate, assuming this is more than posturing for the rubes in the House — both parties do that a lot, and I’ve decided not to invest emotional energy until the Senate steps up. It's good to know, but I haven’t the spare energy to waste.

#11  I don't see any reason it won't pass, at least in some modified form. Would probably not meet Constitutionality test by the current Supreme Court but would by the proposed 11-13 member court. And the government already (illegally) knows who has most guns. The crime of not turning the guns in would be prosecuted only against specific targets though.

#10  Colion gives a good breakdown.

I fully expect this to pass and the cowardly SOTUS to not hear the case. Red states will howl about it and refuse to enforce it. This is the first major push that will get the red states to finally say "ENOUGH" and start leaving.

#9  The one thing I have been wanting for years is an National Stolen Gun Database. So that Private Buys can be checked....anonymously.

#8  Ref #7: It's a racist pact drawn up by a bunch of old white men. What could be more alien to today's Wokeville society. We must move on and join the global nations of squaller and conflict.

#7  Gun organizations, firearm manufactures and individuals will sue on the basis of the 2nA. Without it, the rest of the Constitution is at risk as well. The Dems are going for the "Big Grab."

The DS, is diligently at work trashing the Bill of Rights. H.R. 127 is the biggest infringement of rights yet. Everyone should oppose this bill.

#5  No action of government can end my inalienable rights. They can infringe upon them, but those rights come from my status as a human being.

#4  Gun laws which require universal background checks, firearm registration is a requirement.

The FBI already has failed to destroy forms used to background check firearm purchasers as they have been required to do since the early 1990s. As I understand it, there are FEU containers in West Virginia full of those forms.

#3  The system will track the make, model, and serial number of all firearms, their owners, the dates they were acquired, and where they are being stored.
This must also be done with jewellery, cash stocks, bonds, art, cars, boats and anything else the proles shouldn't have.

#2  The public will have fun with this. Publicize the armaments of all members of congress and high government officials. Show them to be the hypocrites they are.
