| #1 A Popular Democratic Party voting commonwealth. Like many Democrat run locations, it has a high debt rate. ($100+/- Billion). Despite sucking on the US Taxpayers Breast for more for 50+ years. No improvements to the economy, jobs, or major manufactures businesses willing to chance it. Like many Democrat run locations they have a high Poverty rate (44+/-%). Like many Democrat run locations there is a growing Socialist movement. So many illegals using Puerto Rico as backdoor to the USA. That the USA ICE has been reviewing Puerto Rico mainland Births between (1950-2010. Like many Democrat run locations a Negative Population growth. The running joke is there are more NEW-Ricans (NY/NJ) than mainland Puerto Ricans. My wife's joke. she is a PR/ with deep TaÃno family roots. Quoting WiKi. "Puerto Rico public debt equaled to 76% of its gross national product (GNP), making it one of the most indebted countries by percentage in the world, even more than the United States." "...unemployment that is more than twice the mainland U.S. average" I would offer Puerto Rico the opportunity to break away and become its own nation in 10 years. Kind of a US/PR-Exit. |
