Soldier martyred in shelling from across LoC
2020-12-31
[Dawn] A soldier was martyred when Indian troops violated ceasefire and resorted to heavy shelling and firing from across the Line of Control in the Khuiratta sector in Azad Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
on Wednesday.

According to a blurb issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), personnel of the Pakistain Army responded befittingly to the ceasefire violation. "During an intense exchange of fire, a valiant soldier, Sepoy Fazal Elahi, 35, embraced shahadat," said the statement.

In the Hotspring sector, said the ISPR blurb, Pak troops shot down an Indian Army quadcopter that had intruded some 100 metres into Pak territory. The Pakistain Army has so far shot down 16 Indian quadcopters for intruding into Pak territory.

The ISPR added that in shelling from across the LoC in the Kotkotera sector a 34-year-old male civilian suffered critical injuries.

#1  Shit.

Considering the cost of a single 120mm thingy we don't seem to be getting much return on investment.
