| Michael Flynn Promotes Petition Calling On Trump To Suspend The Constitution And Declare Martial Law |

| [DailyCaller] Former national security adviser Michael Flynn promoted a petition Tuesday calling on President Donald Trump to temporarily suspend the U.S. Constitution, declare martial law and order the military to oversee a national re-vote for the 2020 presidential election. The petition, published Tuesday by the Ohio-based non-profit group We The People Convention, said there was "no peaceful way left to preserve our Union" following President-elect Joe Biden’s electoral victory and urged Trump to exercise his "extraordinary authority" to avert a second civil war. "Limited Martial Law is clearly a better option than Civil War!" a letter accompanying the petition states. Flynn, to whom Trump granted a presidential pardon last Wednesday related to the retired Army general’s December 2017 guilty plea for making false statements to the FBI, tweeted a link to the petition Tuesday evening. Ordering the arrest of an Ohio congressman "for the crime of speaking out against him." Signing an arrest warrant for the then-Chief Justice of the Supreme Court who ruled that Lincoln had illegally suspended the Writ of Habeas Corpus. Ordering the arrest of thousands of Maryland citizens "for the crime of ’suspected Southern sympathies,"’ some of whom were held in military prisons without trial for years. "Many will object to these actions, as they did in Lincoln’s day, but we assure you that We the People understand that no less action will suffice to prevent the loss of our Constitutional right to vote and preserve our Republic," the letter stated. The letter said Trump’s declaration of martial law and temporary suspension of the Constitution must be for the sole purpose of having the military oversee a national re-vote that "reflects the true will of the people." Pro-Trump lawyer Lin Wood also promoted the petition on Tuesday, tweeting that Trump should "declare martial law" to avert a civil war spurred on by bad actors led by communist China.Good morning. The electors for each state are expected to meet and cast their ballots on Dec. 14, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. Trump said Thursday he will vacate the White House if the Electoral College formally declares Biden the winner of the 2020 election. |

Especially if we a doing The Great Reset, closing down swaths of businesses "for 4-6 weeks", making the managing of employees impossible, meddling in Health Insurance again, and all this other promised financial violence. Confirm the results. Let that Brave New World not be built on sand. Forcing the electors to make a vote based upon incomplete or fraudulent information will destroy that institution; something the radicals would love to do away with. Confirm their vote. December 14 is a day which was selected by congress, not The Constitution, so a delay there isn't suspending The Constitution. |

| #9 Thats a hard NO from me. Uphold and defend the Constitution. This sounds like "we had to burn the village to save it" treatment of the Constitution. If/when the time comes, the need for rebellion will be obvious, widespread and millions will rally to the call. |

| #7 Regardless of whether the reaction is kinetic, the mutual bonds of trust have been severed. No American can any longer say he trusts our system to deliver honest and fair elections. Few of us will trust our fellow Americans without certifying their loyalty to this or that creed or agenda. Can a democracy survive without trust? |

| #5 What is more frightening than Flynn is the reactions here. The "Not Yet" in all rational rantburg readers minds. "Yet" means its possibility is in our thoughts. I feel the same way, not yet. But the when is a possibility. And that's frightening. |

| #3 Not yet, we are still within the framework of the process. Still, the occasional wild pitch is good for a setup. When I went to bed election night/morning after the margins looked insurmountable. The rational Biden supporters I know also went to bed thinking the same thing. One thread popped out at me. It was something like, "Oh well, next time, and not with someone like Biden." To which was replied, "Wait until they count the mail-in ballots." It can be done; have a re-do in only these six states so to better allocate resources, dip the finger in the ink, paper ballots - what to do about absentee voters? Must vote in person (unless overseas) but get two days to vote? |
