James O'Keefe To Release Months Of 9AM CNN President Jeff Zucker's Conference Calls Today
2020-12-01
Published after the 2:00 p.m. ET cutoff so that we all have time for a proper bout of Schadenfreude before turning on our various internet devices at 6:59 p.m. ET to watch.
[NationalPulse] WATCH: James O’Keefe Dials In To CNN Conference Calls, Tells Network President He’ll Release Tapes Of Editorial Calls Later TODAY

O’Keefe informed Zucker on the call that his organization had been recording the insider calls for months before inquiring "do you still feel you’re the most trusted name in news."

Zucker, failing to address O’Keefe’s question, responds "thank you for your comment. So, everybody, I think in light of that, we’ll set up a new system, and we’ll be back with you, we’ll do the rest of the call later" before appearing to end the call.

The clips are set to be released on December 1st at 7pm Eastern Time.

Per O’Keefe, Project Veritas has "clips of various producers talking, the president talking, describing their motives, describing their political philosophy, describing how they don’t cover certain things and certain political parties tell them to cover things a certain way."

Individuals including Zucker, Vice President David Chalian, Stephanie Becker, and Marcus Mabry.

#13  We are just glad you are here TW. I even try to limit my grunt swearing for you. :D

#12   Tell Mr TW he is lucky.

Mr. Wife tells me that from time to time, Ebbomoger Speaking for Boskone4589, so I have to yield to his superior knowledge of such things.

You all have been so kind to me over the years, and taught me so much — I’m very glad my little efforts pay back a small part of the debt I owe.

#11  Funny. Internet went koo koo after posting.

There may be people outside the law, such as bookies, who would be interested in such things.

Also, there may be believers who would be persuaded.

I don't think much came legally from that NBA referee who was busted betting on a particular team but I'd bet he didn't sleep very well. I'd also guess that an Instant Replay Team is well briefed before an important game, but these people are arrogant and careless in their position. Like, for instance, Joe Buck.

People would understand Influencing a Jury.

#10  People generally already knew this so what's the big deal?

Not necessarily. To use the NE Patriots sportsball accusation of spying on the opponent's locker room, its one thing to hear proponents making accusations, it would be another to have a recording of Belocheck et al discussing how to do it.

As for legal ramifications, I can only recall one time I tried to record a board meeting, nothing sinister just wanted a record without having to take notes so as to better participate in the discussion and the XO noticed, and reminded the rules were no recording unless motioned and approved. At that level, if recording would be approved, it would likely fall to one position, say Secretary.

Again, not a lawyer here, it seems unapproved recording of private conversations without knowledge or legal paperwork such as a wiretap may not be admissible in a court of law.

Now, in a court of public opinion...dirty laundry may be allowed in court if the conclusions were based on a law-legal approach of obtaining it. That is, this is a controlled environment not something like a car wreck turned road rage.

Now a Whistle-Blower Status may, and should, exempt such precludes.

And I'd bet there were a lot of britches which needed to be changed after that announcement.

#9  More and more of a non-story ("fake news", in a sense). Enter Surprise Meter:

#8  Thank you TW. But as #5 says you ARE a blessing. Tell Mr TW he is lucky.

Back in the day, conference calls were normally arranged by one person dialing up everyone elses number from the President's line. So it is interesting to know how O'Keefe got in the 9am loop.

Maybe nowadays there is a special number that people can dial that is conferences all incoming dialers into one conference call. Not sure. It has been a while since I worked within the corporate level.

#7   People generally already knew this so what's the big deal?

Being told about it by people they scorn is one thing, jpal. Seeing and hearing it all being said by CNN leadership and staff is quite something else... not to mention useful in court cases because it then is not mere hearsay.

You make me blush, dear Whaiper Thusoth4179. Ebbomoger Speaking for Boskone4589 did the real work of finding this and working up the article — I just made an executive decision about advancing it to today.

#6  I'm guessing O'Keefe has Zucker et al on tape discussing how they were going make yhe Orange Man look bad and the Basement Boy look good for the upcoming 2020 election.

People generally already knew this so what's the big deal?

#5  Thanks TW. You are a blessing. He live streamed butting into this morning's 9am conference call and told them everything he had on them which is in the above link. It was priceless to watch.

#4  Outside of a morbid curiosity to listen to this, for lack of a better term, unless Zucker is caught on tape passing out ballots and telling people to vote multiple times, what "bombshell" information/revelation will result from this? We already loathe the Clinton News Network and its left-wing brethren.

#3  If I weren't so hopelessly cis gendered I'd kiss James O'Keefe right on the mouth.

#2  Also set as today’s headline. To be a fly on the wall for various lawyers’ Zoom conferences tonight!
