The source said the Taliban attacked a security outpost in Jurm district, Badakhshan province, on Monday and four members of the local police were taken captive by the bad boys.
"Taliban torched two military vehicles and took military equipment at the outpost," the source said.
But Badakhshan police said that at least 10 security force members were either killed or maimed in the attack.
The police said that the Taliban attack was "pushed back" by the security forces.
