Study: Coronavirus antibodies fade rapidly after infection |
2020-10-27 |
[Arutz 7] - A new study by a team of researchers at the Imperial College London has found that antibodies developed following coronavirus infections disappear within a matter of weeks. According to the REACT-2 study, antibody positivity fell by 26% between June and September. While about 6% of those tested in July had detectable levels of coronavirus antibodies, only 4.4% had detectable levels of antibodies in September. One of the researchers, Professor Helen Ward, said the study suggests that immunity "is waning quite rapidly." Wrong, persistent production of specific antibodies in NOT part of immune memory. Antibodies are supposed to disappear after the antigen is cleared cf. Fishman, M. A., & Perelson, A. S. (1995). Lymphocyte memory and affinity selection. #4 Are you suggesting that after being exposed to the covid, the best way to guard against additional covid infections is continued exposure to the covid? |

#2 with a less than 1% fatality rate is basically " a cold" |

#1 Well you'll be seeing a wave of re-infections at a rate much higher than 25 per million... Another scare story from the lockdown (something that really is shown to not work) fanatic. |
