#5 In California, per Governor Newsom, the lockdown continues as long as the infection rate is seven per 100,000. So, if since March you met 100,000 people, seven of them would have been infected. But nobody meets that many people. So how many people have you met who have been infected?
People under 65 who get the disease almost always recover within a week or so. But the lockdown has been devastating for the economy and for all kinds of other health problems.
I said it here on Rantburg several months ago that we should protect our vulnerable population but let everybody else live their lives.
Masks, lockdowns and business closings are doing more harm than good. Actually, they are playing into the hands of Democrats who enjoy the control it gives them over the population and the opportunity to blame it all on Donald Trump. Among other highly questionable strategies for dealing with the pandemic, Democrats came up with vote-by-mail which leaves the door wide open for all kinds of fraud. This election will certainly be contested and we'll be lucky if we can keep it from spilling out of the courts and onto the streets. That, of course, is exactly what the Democrats want.
Democrats rejoice in the devastation the lockdowns have caused for an economy that was booming before the pandemic and would, without the shadow of a doubt, have gotten Trump reelected.
It all makes me wonder, quite seriously, about the origins of the virus. It makes me wonder what Democrats knew about it and when they knew it. |
